Angelina's submission:

My name is Angelina Smith and I go to Blacktown Little Athletics. When I first started Little Athletics I was really scared of the starters gun. When I was on the start line, I used to put my hands over my ears to try and block out the super big bang. I told my Dad how scared I was and about my problem and he said that it was just like fireworks; not a real gun, and that it couldn't hurt me. I really like fireworks so I told myself I would be brave and think about beautiful fireworks before I start the race. I can run much faster now that I'm not worried about the starter's gun. Some of my friends were scared of the gun too, so I told them the fireworks story and told them to be brave. Now, we all have fun waiting for the super big fireworks bang to start our races.
