An inspiring tale emerged from the Australian camp today, as Erin Densham claimed bronze in the women's triathlon, just three years after life-saving heart surgery.
Sculler Kim Crow won bronze in the single sculls and the men's four claimed silver behind rivals Great Britain. But Australia has finished the Olympic rowing regatta without a gold medal.
In athletics, a runner from South Africa became the first double amputee to compete on the track at an Olympics.
