Aussie athletes: Aiming to qualify two men and two women

While Taekwondo made its first appearance at the Olympics as a demonstration sport in 1988, it wasn't until the Sydney 2000 Games that it was formally included in the Summer Games.

Australia has enjoyed relative success in that short time, snaring one silver medal and a bronze medal. A new electronic scoring system will be used for the first time in London.
