AUSSIES TO WATCH
Matthew Mitcham (Getty)Matthew Mitcham

Age 23

Diving

Concerns linger over his fitness, but it would take a brave soul to write off the reigning men's platform gold medallist. A proven big-meet performer who can pull out the goods when he needs to, he looks every chance of replicating his stunning performance in Beijing.

Age 16

Diving

Stormed into calculations with a shock win at the US diving grand prix in Fort Lauderdale last May, defeating reigning Olympic platform champion Chen Ruolin in the process. Nerves may have got the better of her at last year's world champs but she remains a gold medal chance.
Loudy Wiggins (Getty)Loudy Wiggins

Age 33

Diving

Returned from almost four years away to score a surprise win at the nationals and soar into calculations. While she will be 33 by the time the Games begin, Wiggins is a proven performer with plenty of experience on diving's big stage, having already competed at three Olympics.

Age 21

Diving

Australian diving's Mrs Consistent, Stratton finished fifth in the 3m springboard at last year's world titles. The Commonwealth Games gold medallist should be in the mix for an individual medal in London, as well as in the synchro events with Anabelle Smith.
