Tony Greig was once described as the England cricketer that Australians loved to hate, but then grew to love.
While his record of 58 Tests that included the England captaincy stands for itself, it was for his brave decision to join media tycoon Kerry Packer's breakaway World Series Cricket that he will be largely remembered for.
Greig played a key role in recruiting international players for WSC, that helped improve remunerations and dragged the sport into the modern age.
Vale Tony Greig, a name synonymous with Australian cricket.
