Crowd ugliness returned to the English Premier League in a big way at the end of the Manchester derby at Eastlands Stadium.
The onfield action was rivetting as United magician Robin van Persie struck an injury-time winner to break a 2-2 deadlock.
It was the first time City had been beaten at home in two years and the fans weren't happy, pelting Rio Ferdinand with coins, one of which opened a gash above his eye.
A pitch invader also tried to attack Ferdinand but was restrained by City goalkeeper Joe Hart.
