Pearson wins The Don award

Olympic golden girl Sally Pearson won The Don award for the athlete who most inspired Australia in 2012.

Pearson was honoured at the Sport Australia Hall of Fame dinner in Melbourne where she turned heads in a revealing purple dress.

Hall of Fame inductees were Olympic cyclist Kathy Watt, cricketer Adam Gilchrist, rugby union's Steve Larkham, rugby league Immortal Andrew Johns, rower James Tomkins, former VFL star and Test cricketer the late Laurie Nash, rugby league coach Wayne Bennett and administrator Mal Speed.
