Motorsport tracks are dangerous places

Footage has emerged from South America of a young child who came within centimetres of an ugly death after crossing a superbike race track.

The bikes were tearing around the street circuit in Managua, Nicaragua, when the child casually strolled across their path. Fortunately one rider was alert enough to avoid certain carnage.

It comes as a reminder that race tracks are very dangerous places, as these examples of narrow escapes clearly show.
