Brett Lee has retired from cricket, ending an 18-year career at the top level.

Lee battled persistent injuries throughout his career to become one of Australia’s greatest fast bowlers after bursting onto the international scene in 1999 with five wickets in the Boxing Day Test.

The veteran quick finished with 310 Test wickets and 380 ODI wickets to jointly hold the record with Glen McGrath as Australia's greatest wicket taker in that form of the game.
