Indeed, Black Caviar didn't just re-write the record books, she earned comparisons to the immortal Phar Lap, with some pundits going further by labelling her as the greatest horse Australia has ever seen.

By year's end, Black Caviar had recorded her 16th consecutive win under trainer Peter Moody.
