As the Games draw to a close Australia was able to add another four gold medals to its insurmountable tally. Once again it was the women leading the way with the Hockeyroos beating New Zealand on penalties, gymnastics gold to Naazmi Johnston, diving gold to Sharleen Stratton and mixed doubles gold on the squash court.
Australia's cyclists couldn't add to the gold pile in the time trials, but Luke Durbridge did pick up a bronze medal.
