Solwhit is challenging for Champion Hurdle favouritism following his victory in the Grade One Dobbins and Madigans at Punchestown Hurdle on Sunday.
Solwhit downed Muirhead and Hurricane Fly to post his third Grade One success and has firmed into 4-1 for the Champions Hurdle at Cheltenham in March with most bookmakers.
Winning trainer Charles Byrnes was rapt with the win and said the pace of the race suited his charge.
"It was terrific and I felt we may have had an edge over Hurricane Fly today as my fellow doesn't take a lot of work," Byrnes told the Racing Post.
"I was delighted with the pace of the race as it was a big concern beforehand."
