International jockey Noel Callow has been hit with his second careless riding suspension this week after copping a five-meeting ban at Randwick.
Callow only rode in one race before he was stood down by the AJC doctor after he told stewards he wasn't feeling well.
The suspension of Callow means he will be sidelined until November 27 after getting three meetings at Hawkesbury on Thursday.
Callow rode beaten favourite Bandar ($2.10) in the opening race, the Sharp Handicap (1800m) on Saturday.
Bandar was second over the line but ended up in third spot after Nathan Berry, the rider of third past the post Shadow Minister, had his protest against Callow upheld.
Stewards ruled that in the final 200 metres Callow permitted his mount to shift out at least six horses, causing interference to Shadow Minister who was a neck third in the race won by Devils Arcade.
Callow provided an unusual defence to his careless riding charge when he told stewards in the second part of the inquiry that he could not remember the race.
The jockey, who had showered and changed into his suit for the second half of the inquiry, stunned chief steward Ray Murrihy with his admission.
"I plead guilty but not consciously," Callow said.
"What do you mean?" Murrihy asked.
"I don't remember the race," Callow said.
"Thirty minutes ago you were bright as a button. You didn't make any reference to not remembering then," Murrihy said.
