Tapitsfly, trained by Dale Romans and ridden by Robby Albarado, won the $US1 million ($A1.1 million) Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf on Friday.

Tapitsfly edged Rose Catherine in the final straight.

House of Grace was third, while the Aidan O'Brien-trained favourite Lillie Langtry wasn't a factor in the one-mile (1600m) race on Santa Anita Park's turf course for two-year-old fillies.

The race was part of the two-day, 14-race Breeders' Cup program worth a total of $US25.5 million ($A27.98 million).

The $US5 million ($A5.49 million) Breeders' Cup Classic will cap the action on Saturday.
