Frankel's stud fee unchanged
09:29 AEST Tue Nov 12 2013

Frankel's stud fee will remain unchanged next year after a successful first season with 95 per cent of mares he covered confirmed in foal.

The unbeaten champion stands at Juddmonte for STG125,000 ($A214,445). Australia's More Joyous is among a select group of mares covered by Frankel to southern hemisphere time.

Frankel is part of a stallion roster which includes Dansili and Oasis Dream, who will command fees of STG95,000 and STG85,000 respectively next year.

But Zamindar, sire of unbeaten mare Zarkava, winner of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, has will be missing with the 19-year-old retired from stallion duties because of fertility problems.

"We were delighted with Frankel's first season at stud and his fee continues to reflect his status as a world champion racehorse," stud manager Phillip Mitchell said.

Coolmore has also confirmed its fees for 2014 with Declaration Of War introduced to the team at a price of 40,000 ($A57,351).

Last year's 2000 Guineas and dual Derby winner Camelot will start his stud career with a price of 25,000 euros while shuttle stallion Fastnet Rock's fee remains private.
