Australia to play Davis Cup in Warsaw
06:06 AEST Thu May 9 2013

Australia's Davis Cup World Group playoff against Poland will be played on an indoor court in Warsaw.

The venue for the September 13-15 clash was announced on Wednesday as the 5,000-seat Torwar Arena in the Polish capital.

The winner of the tie will qualify for the competition's top tier in 2014, with Australia aiming to return to the World Group for the first time since 2007.

Australia earned a shot at the playoffs after a team featuring Bernard Tomic and Lleyton Hewitt beat Uzbekistan in Namangan last month.
