Melbourne Tigers coach Chris Anstey has been fined $1000 by the NBL for publicly blasting referees.
A further $500 fine has been suspended pending any further criticism of officials by Anstey.
Anstey made the comments following Melbourne's 73-58 loss to the Perth Wildcats at Perth Arena on Sunday.
"No I don't think they lost control, I think they handed the Wildcats control. They had absolute control. They gave it straight to the Wildcats. They had full control," Anstey told the media post-match.
The former Boomers star was deemed to have breached the NBL's rules and regulations in regards to public criticism of referees.
"No NBL club, executive officer, official, employee, coach, referee, player, or team shall offer public criticism of game referees except through proper channels of the NBL, Referees Manager or Referee Supervisors," the regulations state.
