A back problem won't keep Glyn Schofield out of Saturday's Warwick Farm meeting as he tries to keep his Sydney jockeys' premiership lead.

Schofield was stood down from riding midway through the Newcastle meeting on Wednesday because of an aggravated back complaint.

He has had physiotherapy to ensure he is fit for Warwick Farm.

"It's a niggling back problem but it seems to be getting better," Schofield said after riding in a barrier trial on Friday.

Schofield ended 2012 with a 2-1/2 win lead over Hugh Bowman in the Sydney premiership but a winning double to Bowman on Wednesday narrowed the gap to half a win.

Schofield is booked to ride four horses at Warwick Farm including the Joe Pride-trained Hypurr and Mark De Montfort-trained That's A Good Idea.

Hypurr finished fourth in the Listed Razor Sharp Handicap (1200m) on December 22 at his Australian debut.

Hypurr used to race as Sichuan Success in Hong Kong and was a Group Three winner there and competed in Group One company.

Schofield wasn't aboard him in the Razor Sharp but is looking forward to riding him in the Handicap (1400m) where he has 59.5kg.

"His first-up run was enormous," Schofield said.

"I know he's got a big weight but he was a Group One horse in Hong Kong.

"I'm very happy to be riding him."

Schofield won on That's A Good Idea at a Canterbury night meeting two starts back and believes he can run well again in the Australian Turf Club Handicap (1400m).

"I know it looks like a race with a little bit of quality, but this horse has just got better and better since I won on him at Canterbury," he said.

"It was a good run (for third) behind the unbeaten horse of Chris Waller's (Heart Testa) last start.

"I actually think he'll be a tough nut to crack on Saturday."
