NBA star scores in his own basket

Houston centre Omer Asik has become the figure of mirth after he accidentally scored a goal in the wrong basket.

The Rockets big-man inadvertently popped the ball into his own basket after going up for a defensive rebound in the NBA clash against Toronto Raptors.

The 2.13m Turkish star looked stunned for a brief moment before play resumed.

Asik did enjoy the last laugh though, smashing home a two-handed dunk moments later as the Rockets went onto record a 117-101 win over the Raptors.
