Ashes Test dates released for Australia

England have again been gifted three warm-up games in Australia before the first Ashes Test next year.

England's schedule follows the successful blueprint of their most recent Australian tour in 2010/11 which resulted in a sweeping 3-1 Ashes series victory.

England blamed rushed preparation as a factor in their lack of success on previous tours of Australia.

Cricket Australia has again given the Englishmen three tour matches ahead of a Test series starting in Brisbane on November 21 next year.

England will open their tour against Western Australia in a three-day match starting October 31.

They will then play Australia A in Hobart from November 6-9 and NSW at the SCG from November 13.

The traditional Gabba series opener will be followed by Tests in Adelaide from December 5, in Perth from December 13, in Melbourne from December 26 and in Sydney from January 3.

England will also play five one-day internationals and three Twenty20 games against Australia, with those dates yet to be released.
