Dual international Ellyse Perry will juggle national league cricket and football matches this weekend when her teams start their season.
Perry is available for the NSW Breakers Twenty20 cricket match on Friday and one-day game on Saturday against the ACT Meteors at Blacktown.
She will however miss the T20 clash there between the two teams on Sunday, when she will turn her attention to the round-ball code.
The Sydney FC recruit will make her debut for the club in an opening round W-League match against Newcastle Jets at Leichhardt Oval.
She switched her W-League allegiance from Canberra, where club officials told her she had to choose between the two sports because she couldn't always commit to soccer.
University student Perry recently returned from Sri Lanka, where she was part of the victorious Australian women's World T20 team.
She resumed training with Sydney FC just one day after arriving back in Australia.
Perry is expected to have other weekends when she will play both sports, as the two competitions are conducted over a similar period between October and January.
