Camelot expected to stay in training
06:28 AEST Sun Oct 14 2012

Star three-year-old Camelot is recovering well from colic surgery and is expected to return to racing next season.

Coolmore's 2000 Guineas and dual Derby winner was admitted to Fethard Veterinary Hospital on Thursday evening where he underwent the surgery.

He is now at Coolmore Stud where he will recuperate before returning to trainer Aidan O'Brien's Ballydoyle base, all going well.

"Camelot has arrived at Coolmore from Fethard Veterinary Hospital and is in good shape," a tweet from Coolmore said.

"He is expected to return to training for 2013.

"A big thank you to the surgeons & the team at the hospital who worked around the clock along with all the staff at Ballydoyle & Coolmore."
