Wellington pair to join Rebels
08:22 AEST Wed Sep 19 2012

The Melbourne Rebels have reached across the ditch to snap up two Wellington rugby representatives.

Openside flanker Scott Fuglistaller and utility back Jason Woodward have signed two-year deals with the Super Rugby franchise.

The 25-year-old Fuglistaller featured as a replacement for the Highlanders this season, with the former New Zealand under-19 international impressing in his limited Super Rugby outings.

Woodward, 22, who has shone at fullback in New Zealand's provincial rugby competition the ITM Cup this season, decided to move to fulfil his goal of playing Super Rugby after no New Zealand franchises tabled an offer.

Former Wellington hooker Ged Robinson has played the past two seasons for the Rebels.
