The gold medal count may be down but Australia's London Olympians will still be celebrated with welcome home parades in capital cities around the country.
Australian team boss announced the home-coming plans in London on Thursday.
From a parade down Sydney's George St on August 20 to a civic reception in Melbourne two days after that and a function at Adelaide's Town Hall a day later, the athletes will get the chance to meet their biggest fans.
Those in Brisbane will get their chance to grab autographs with a parade down Queen Street Mall on August 24th then it's on to civic receptions in both Hobart and Perth on the following days.
The celebrations will end with a public function in Canberra before the medallists attend an exclusive do at Parliament house.
"We are thrilled the welcome home celebrations are happening again in what is now a tradition for our Olympic teams," chef de mission Nick Green said.
"We are all very proud of the way our 2012 team has competed in London.
"We have a few days left of solid competition but once these Games have closed our athletes will look forward to the opportunity to thank Australia for their passionate support".
