Germany's Michael Jung won the gold medal in the individual jumping event on Tuesday, edging out Sara Algotsson Ostholt of Sweden.
Algotsson Ostholt needed a clear round to win the gold but knocked over the final fence to hand victory to World and European champion Jung.
Another German, Sandra Auffarth, won the bronze medal.
Jung and Auffarth had earlier won the team three-day eventing gold alongside teammates Ingrid Klimke, Dirk Schrade and Peter Thomsen.
