Australian shooter Daniel Repacholi has finished 28th in the men's 10m air pistol event on the opening day of competition the London Olympics.
The 30-year-old shot a score of 575 to miss the cut for the eight-man final by eight shots at the Royal Artillery Barracks on Saturday.
The 10m pistol qualification consists of six 10-shot rounds and Repacholi got off to a slow start, scoring 95 points in the first round.
He bounced back during the middle stages before faltering in the last round, managing just 94.
Repacholi, who combines life as a top level athlete with driving mining trucks in the NSW Hunter Valley, will have another crack at making an Olympic final when he lines up in the 50m pistol event later in the Games.
The 10m pistol final will be contested later on Saturday.
