A US woman who got a tattoo to commemorate her participation in the London 2012 Games torch relay was shocked to find a spelling error of Olympic proportions.
Jerri Peterson, a 54-year-old from Atlanta, was chosen to carry the torch in recognition of her charity work.
She decided to mark the achievement by getting a tattoo on her ankle two months before her role in the relay.
But hours later a friend noticed a spelling mistake on the tattoo, which read "Oylmpic Torch Bearer, 2012 London".
Peterson said she was "so disappointed" when she found the spelling error, but then laughed it off.
The picture of the misspelt tattoo has gone viral, making Peterson a celebrity during her torch-bearing leg through Derby.
"All I had to do was mention the tattoo, and I had plenty of free pints to drink," she told BBC News.
