Nine's weekend news presenter Alicia Loxley will present news updates
throughout the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Loxley, who joined Nine News four years ago, started her career in radio after
winning the Ormsby Wilkins Memorial Award for Best Performance in Radio
Journalism while studying journalism.
Her first media appearance was on The Sports Factor on Radio National. In
2002, she became a reporter and producer for Triple J, then its West Australian
correspondent, before moving to the ABC newsroom.
In 2006, she became the lead anchor for ABC TV news in Western Australia. She
returned to Melbourne two years later to join the Nine Network.
After another relocation - two years in Sydney as a news presenter on Weekend
Today and Today, and a stint on Warnie, Shane Warne's talk show – she again
returned to Melbourne where she is the weekend newsreader for Nine News.
