06:22 AEST Tue Jul 17 2012

Gai Waterhouse's imported spring hopefuls, Julienas and Glencadam Gold, continued their build-up to racing in Australia in barrier trials at Randwick on Monday.

It was the second trial for Julienas who finished third in his 1200m heat on Monday won by his stablemate Surfside.

Julienas has won three of his 11 starts from 1600 to 2000 metres with the highlight the 2011 Royal Hunt Cup (1600m) at Ascot.

Glencadam Gold finished a close second to Honourable Aussie in his 1050m heat, his first public appearance since his arrival.

Julienas was trained in England by Walter Swinburn while Glencadam Gold was in the care of Sir Henry Cecil.

Randwick Guineas runner-up Said Com is scheduled to run in a 900m barrier trial at Rosehill on Tuesday ahead of his spring return while triple Group One winner Sniper's Bullet will run in a 1030m heat ahead of a possible Melbourne campaign.
