Wests Tigers' Sironen out injured

Wests Tigers have lost talented young five-eighth Curtis Sironen to injury for Sunday's NRL match against the Sydney Roosters at Leichhardt Oval.

Sironen is to undergo minor knee surgery this week and is expected to miss the next two matches for the Tigers, who are riding high in fourth spot on the NRL ladder thanks to an eight-match winning streak.

Wests Tigers have a bye in round 17 and hope Sironen will be fit for selection for the round 18 home match against the third-placed Bulldogs at Allianz Stadium on July 6.
