Argentina defeated Italy 37-22, reeling off three straight tries when the Italians closed within a point in their one-off rugby Test on Saturday.

After scrumhalf Edoardo Gori's try in the 51st minute cut the Pumas' lead to 16-15, prop Rodrigo Roncero responded three minutes later with his own try, and captain Felipe Contepomi converted.

No.8 Leonardo Senatore crossed for another converted try in the 64th minute to make it 30-15, and the captain added his own try with eight minutes to go.

Italy crossed late but couldn't prevent a third straight defeat to the Pumas.
