AFL Magpies drop Wood
17:35 AEST Sat Jun 9 2012

Collingwood have dumped back-up ruckman Cameron Wood to make way for the return of premiership big man Darren Jolly for Monday's AFL round-11 clash with Melbourne at the MCG.

The Magpies named a 25-man squad on Thursday night and trimmed it to 22 on Saturday, with Jolly, key defender Chris Tarrant and Brownlow Medallist midfielder Dane Swan back in the side.

Wood and Kirk Ugle have been dropped while star onballer Scott Pendlebury is out with a cracked tibia.

The Demons, who celebrated their first win of the season last week against Essendon, regain defender James Frawley from a foot injury. Joel Macdonald has been omitted.
