14:00 AEST Wed Jan 4 2012

Australian UFC light heavyweight submission star Anthony Perosh is set to return to the octagon at UFC Sydney.

Connections of 'The Hippo' confirmed on Wednesday that he will look to extend his winning form against UFC debutant Nick Penner, who joins the organisation on a tear of eight wins and professional MMA record of 11-1.

The pair will fight on March 3 at Sydney’s Allphones Arena, with Perosh looking to extend his winning form which most recently saw him take a second round submission victory over Cyrille Diabate at UFC 138 in Birmingham.

“11-1 light heavyweight prospect Nick Penner has verbally agreed to make his UFC debut against Anthony ‘The Hippo’ Perosh," said UFC Managing Director of International Development, Marshal Zelaznik.

"Perosh is coming off back-to-back submission wins and looks to make it three in a row in his home country.”
